Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 07-08-2012

My damaged Seb Art Sukhoi 50E is for sale (Airframe only)
The right wing let go because the carbon rod failed (One too many snap rolls)
Both wings are intact as is the fusalage from the canopy back, including the tailplane, rudder and all the film covering. The cowl is pretty bend but someone with glassing experience could repair it, or you could buy a new one from Model Flight for about $40.
The main repairs needed are replacing the damaged wing mounting plywood on both sides of the fuse, replacing the wing tube and minor stiffening of the engine mount.
It would be a simple project for any experienced model builder, I just dont have the time these days, but it would be a huge shame to bin one of the best handling 3D planes you will ever fly.
Seriously .... if you buy and fix it you will not fly a better 3D plane.
Check this maggot out he is a little better than me.......Ha

I have already ordered a new one to replace it ! Cost $385
I will even throw in the build manual for free.... shit I'm a nice bloke!
Jason showed interest on the weekend so he has first dibs!
Price : $80

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 08-08-2012

I'll swap you mate.
1 slightly used Seb Art Sukhoi 50 for 2 Striker Airframes?

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - secant0give - 08-08-2012

That's a great price Gazz and I'd definatly like to buy it but at the moment I have quite a few projects that I have to finish. So I'll have to let this one go. I am super tempted tho' but I think it would be only fair to let someone else have a go owning such a nice plane

But if anyone wants to buy it I'm more than happy to help them out with fixing it. There's not a great lot to do.

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 10-08-2012

Well Steve.... balls in your court mate.
Jason dosen't want the Sukhoi... are you intersted in the swap I mentioned

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 28-08-2012

Hey Steve
I'm feeling generous and since I will be picking up my new Sukhoi in 2 weeks would you like to do a straight swap, my old one for the Striker frame?
I will even drop it over to your place if you like!
Its no biggy if you are not interested, I am happy to pay you the cash we discussed.
It would be such a shame to see a magic airframe end up on the scrap heap because I dont have the time to fix it.
Gazz

Don't think too long... there's vultures circling this one Smile

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 28-08-2012

Keep circling Claudio.
If Steve doesn't want it, you can have it for $80.
But wait there's more .........
If you ring now ..........we'll even through in a set of Steak knives ............

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - samste - 29-08-2012

Claudio You Can Swoop in anytime If You Like

Steve Smile

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - wingtipper - 29-08-2012

tempting . dont throw it out garry . im sure it will sell in time . its 80 bucks sitting there , dont throw it out .

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 29-08-2012

I wasn't planning on shoving it in the bin. It can sit and wait for as long as it takes for me to get the time to fix it. But I need the space ..... its not a small plane you know!
besides that ... it has a shit load of sentimental value, because it was the oldest and best plane in my fleet, oops that should be squadron............ Sorry, thats my marine background thingumy coming out.

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - robair - 30-08-2012

Hey Kev

I do have a spare Stryker frame however it may not be suitable for you or Gazz.
It's Kieran's old one so it has flown to hell and back, I have since poly coated it, reinforced the tails and repainted. Also balsa elevons.
If anyone else doesn't want gazzs suke I am going to give him 80 next time I see him. Feel free to gazump me in the interim.
As for my Stryker ? You can have a look if you like, the price will be so minimal to be almost pointless.

Cheers
Rob B

RE: Gazza's Done and Dusted But No Out Sale. - gbanger - 30-08-2012

Hi Kev How the F##k are ya champ.
Steve ordered a few from the States for us. One for him and one for me, they are the old Stykers, Nobody imports them here anymore and I wanted one, so Steve found a guy and ordered 2.
He is probably going to get a couple more, I want to get another one however you can only get 2 ata time because of the freight costs. So if you are keen speak to Steve.
Gazz
