ESC Alternatives - Kedumba - 28-07-2011

Hi All,
Just a quick one this time. It's been recommended that I get 2 x TURNIGY Plush 30amp Speed Controller for my Bronco, however, Hobbyking is out of stock of these (seems to be usual for HK now) so after some browsing I've come across 3 possible replacements and they are in stockShock. The first one is a HobbyKing Red Brick 30A ESC, the second is H-KING 35A Fixed Wing Brushless Speed Controller and the final one is a TowerPro W30A Brushless Speed Controller.

Would any of these be a suitable replacement for the Turnigy ESC or should I wait until they come into stock... or maybe even look elsewhere...
Thanks
Mick

Hi Mick,

I am using these for quite a long time - they are a bit heavier BUT bang for your buck there great!

I have only lost one which was in a crash & burn situation - battery caught fire & I threw it out for safety sake.

Up to 40amps constant & Burst rate 50Amp. They program with the Turnigy card also.

Happy choosing

Always a good idea to up the anti just a little on the ESC Mick.
Very sound security for your aircraft and the difference in weight and price to bump it up 10 or 20 amps is almost not even worth discussion. I over amp the ESC's on every plane I build by at least 20 amps.

Thanks everyone. I think I will go for a bigger ESC. I'll hunt around the various sites and place an order shortly.
