Spektrum DX7 Question - Kedumba - 16-08-2010

Hi All,
It's gonna be a little while before i can fly again as I managed to break my hand last week so I was gonna have a go setting up my gyro in my trojan just for something to do.

In the trojan is an AR5000 and it has 2 spare sero connecters.. 1 is marked Gear and the other is marked AILE

My gyro has an On/Off control that would connect to one of these and allow me to turn it on or off with one on the switches on my DX7.

My question is if i connect this to say the GEAR connector, how do i connect/bind it to either the GEAR or AUX switch on my radio?

Thanks
Mick

Sorry about your hand, hope it mends soon!

The spare AIL is just a Mirror of the other AIL port, Like an internal Y-Lead.

On a AR500, you can only plug it into Gear port and then use the "Gear" switch on the Dx7 to turn the Gyro on and off.

On the radio you then set the desired endpoints in the Gear menu

Thanks I'll give that a try

I've just scored myself a spectrum DX7 Smile. Unfortunately, I don't have any receivers Frown.

If you're going to be at the field tomorrow and have a spare that you could lend me for a short period (I've got some orange receivers that have just left the warehouse), I'd be very greatful.
