These are just some of the photos from today's batch.
Have not applied any editing to them so they should be croped and a bit
but wanted to give you an idea of what was on display.

Choppers are my original interest.. So here is a thread for anyone to talk rotor-craft and any-thing at all related to rotor-craft.. Setup etc etc
***************************

Just some tips and things I have learned along the way that may help..
Feel free to correct or embellish..

Setting Pitch =
1 - Go into Throttle-Hold/Idle Up mode. This gives you your full range of pitch. (Normal mode usually starts at about 40% pitch as you don't want full negative pitch to slam your bird down into the ground)
2 - Go to 50% throttle and make sure all your 3 servo arms that work the swash are at 90Degrees to servo bodies.
3 - Level your swash mechanically using your swash leveler tool, your eye or preferred method.
4 - Still at 50% throttle adjust your linkages from swash to head until you have ZERO degrees pitch with your pitch Gauge.
5 - You should have about 9-11 Degrees pitch positive and negative.
6 - *Digital TX Only * Adjust your swash mix 'PITCH' until have enough pitch range. Anything closer to 100 will increase pitch range.

Setting Tail Rotor = Confused
Struggling here. Can't get her to stop spinning since changing to CNC tail. It is the standard Belt CP rate Gyro. HK HeadLock Gyro on order, hopefully this will help.
Any other idea's? (Gyro in normal mode spins clockwise, in reverse mode, spins anti-clockwise) Wired When figured out will update this section with actual useful tips on tail rotor.

My work area was a bit dark so I decided to brighten it with some HK Led strips. The entire setup is modular, running off your standard HK 12v psu, I expect it to hand grenade shortly Wink

Lightmax Power!!!!! Custom switchbox

Nice even light, better than fluoro as there is no flicker!

XT60's everwhere so I can add/subtract/rearrange as needed.

LED strips are held in place with Magnets!!!111 for maximum geek effect Wink

Next project is some variable mood lighting for the home studio. Just waiting on the RGB fader controler.

Hi All,
It's gonna be a little while before i can fly again as I managed to break my hand last week so I was gonna have a go setting up my gyro in my trojan just for something to do.

In the trojan is an AR5000 and it has 2 spare sero connecters.. 1 is marked Gear and the other is marked AILE

My gyro has an On/Off control that would connect to one of these and allow me to turn it on or off with one on the switches on my DX7.

My question is if i connect this to say the GEAR connector, how do i connect/bind it to either the GEAR or AUX switch on my radio?

Thanks
Mick

Originally I purchased an EGO brand F4U which came as a RTF kit, complete with RX/TX, battery and charger. Compared to that which we pay for models these days that was a very expensive excercise, however I have to say that EGO make a good plane.

The HobbyKing F4U that I purchased was if fact a clone of the EGO model with a couple of exceptions and a third of the price. The motor/ESC were HobbyKing equivalents and the fin/rudder and stabiliser/elevator were not made from a rigid plastic as on the original EGO version but were made from foam like the rest of the model.

The motor setup I chose to replace the standard one was a Turnigy 2217 1050kV outrunner, Tower Pro Mag8 30A ESC and a TGS 10 x 5 sport prop. See the links below:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...duct=10108

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store..._Outrunner

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...Controller

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store..._propeller

With this setup I get 6 minute flights from a 1300mA 3S 20-25C battery and this does not caine the battery, however when the batteries that I have die I intend on replacing them with a 30C and the planes performance should significantly increase. The current draw is 21 amps at full throttle.
