Maybe one day our club will put on a display
like this on Australia Day.

These guys are just great.
As most of you know by now I'm in Brisbane until next Sunday.
If anyone wants anything picked up from Extreme Hobbies let me know by
next Thursday night. I can call into them on Friday Morning.
Obviously, something like a plane may be a bit too big to
bring back with my luggage with Virgin Blue but just about anything else
should be ok.

Just wanted to highlight these guy's video's if you haven't come across them yet.

Just realised that I never showed any photos
of kev and my project x.
This is a Phase3 F16 with a modified fan/motor arrangement.
We brought it down to the field a couple of weekends ago but
found that it needed a bungee hook installed as we could not
get enough airspeed over the flight controls from a hand launch.
Hook has now been installed and hopefully she will make her
maiden flight on the weekend.
Thread for spare parts requests!
Anybody got a Turnigy 35-48 -1100kv motor lying around?
Hey Kieran,
I've just noticed that the date on the home page says Jan1 2009.
Is this suppose to change each date to current date?
Don't even know why I noticed it today
Don't worry I see now that it's just the date you inserted that info.
Sorry should have known you had it under control.
As you all probably know I think Model Flight is Australians best online website.
So I thought that I would start a thread where people can be brought up to date with Bargains, specials and new releases etc.
So here are a few.
EFlite Habu.
This little sucker has a fibreglass body with coted wings it runs on 6S and I am sure with give Kev and Darren a run for their money.

This new Spectrum Receiver has just been released and is FULL RANGE and can be set up with flaps just like the 6200.
http://www.modelflight.com.au/products/S...02-18.html
I rang and spoke to the guru at Model flight he says its range is as good as the AR6200. Save over 40 bucks and still have 6 channels for only $70.
I have just ordered 2.
Gazz
I picked up someones paint drop sheet today.
Looking at the colours on it I would reckon it's Steve"s.
How about it mate is it yours?
I'll return it to the owner next weekend.
Next Order Deadline:Whenever sufficient are items ordered!
PLEASE READ THE RULES VERY CAREFULLY!!! ONLY ONLY ONLY PUT ORDERS AND COMMENTS AS SPECIFIED, NO OTHER TEXT WHATSOEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!! EVEN A QUICK THANKS OR NICKNAME RUINS MY SCRIPT

All group order Invoices: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0...5Z1E&hl=en
This is the official location for placing your group orders FROM THE HOBBYKING NSW WAREHOUSE. Please read carefully and follow these overly strict guidelines for posting in this thread:
1. This is for orders only, to discuss items refer to the HobbyKing Group Orders - Discussion
2. One post per person, in this post you will place links to items you want, if you want to ammend your order, you will the post before the specified Deadline
3. Make sure you are visiting http://www.hobbyking.com this is very important as the link you provide has an effect on which Cart items get added to, update your bookmarks!
4. Once your item is ordered, I will remove the item link from your post, if an item is out of stock, I will leave it there as a "wishlist item" to check for the next order, if you decide you don't want it you must remove it ASAP. The item may come into stock at the same time as other items and get placed into a catch up order
5. Example of an order (The forum software will automagically truncate your link):
You paste it like the green text:
2x http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=4915
1x http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=9781 - You can leave a note here if you think it would help "I know this item is out of stock"

Hi All,
The horrible conditions on saturday got me to thinking that it would be nice to have something to work on when I'm unable to fly. It just so happens that the September issue of RCM&E Magazine had a set of free plans for a Luton Minor electric airplane. After looking at the plans I thought I'll have a go at this so off to Bunnings to grab some balsa.
I'm gonna try to turn this:
into this:
and show some pics along the way.
First off, cutting the wing ribs and tips, then transferring the plan to the wing skin, then the initial gluing of the wing framework. Waiting for it all to dry before going to the next step.
