Hey Kev,
Maybe it's just me but every time you post a U-tube link
using your phone it does not open properly when I try to see it.
It comes up with a small list of u-tube videos but none of them are related to what you are
trying to send. Also if I try to watch any of them on the list I get an error message saying
"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program."
maybe others are having this problem too.
If you send a link using your computer it works as normal

Didn't work for me either Paul, I got a list of clips that weren't anything to do with a Bobby Watts. There was a clip which promised a naked Lady Gaga, but disappointingly it only had some bloke talking

Fixed the link

Thanks for fixing the link .
It was awesome. That was the most entertaining video of
a chopper I've ever seen.
Man, that guy could fly

Kev maidened his PC9 today and while I did not video it I did video
his second flight.
The clicking noise you hear is the sound of the tripod panning
as I tried to follow the action.
Will need to see if I can grease the head and get it to run quieter.

Ha ha ha ha! That's very good Pete. I don't normally go for these "novelty" rc flying things, preferring planes to look like ... err ... real planes - but, that was funny and clever!

very funny wish they had showed it land would have been awesome if it landed on it's feet

.. Hi Guys..
I haven't been able to get to the field or online recently... My wife and I have been hospital for 2 weeks, we had OUR FIRST baby girl! She is AWESOME! GREAT simply non describable feeling.. Proud member of the FATHER club.. so far.. (Amelia Iannuzzelli - 2.6kg 5.7 pounds for the old scalers)
Anyway,, whilst in the birthing suite with wife while in labor (a quite part) I couldn't RESIST capturing this footage of rescue chopper hovering for a landing above us.. Poor quality, but the angle was real hard.. The sound was louder than my wife Alison (LOUD) and the wind seemed to almost blow a tree over.. Totally respect what these guys do,, and the machines they fly.. Pretty sure this was one of the Westpac Rescue Choppers either the Bell 412 or the BK117 twin engine.
Nice Hover..

flying and FPV footage.

Very Impressed Paul
The guy in the rear was obviously flying by watching the image from the camera on a portable screen.
The real talent is the guy controlling the camera he has really got his finger on the pulse or joysick or whatever was panning and tilting the camera.
Smooth.

It would have been head tracking goggles. They just put a gyro in the goggles and the camera follows your head movement. I do similar things with my flight & driving sims:
http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/
Its very natural when you get used to it.
HobbyKing now has the goggles, tx and rx kits for FPV, who's gonna be first in the club to drop the $800ish to do it?

Much as I would love to have the gear to do it I don't
think my budget would allow it.

You know what they say about space shuttles...............
The higher they fly the better.

Well, there was no flying this weekend (6 th Nov), but here's my latest from Last weekend.
Info for Gaz...I secured the heli much more firmly with self tappers in the front, and beefed up the rear of the mount where it "wedges" in, to make it much tighter. I also put firm foam at the tail end. Works a treat!
