Was done this arvo abt 4pm. Field restricted but looks and feel ok for tomorrow save more rain falling.
Main strip is about 2/3 wide. Paspalum stalks spread thinly over field and I am unable to mow this week.
[attachment=5222]The field looks great
Mostly dry its dryer than it has been for a lng time

Very dry on foot only the usual small pooling on strip otherwise strip is dry
Just thought i would say a big SmileTHANKYOUSmile for the guys behind the mower keeping the strip in great condition, we all appreciate your hard work.

Thanks
I'll second that!
Me Too!
And they did it again yesterday!
Good work guys.
Me too Fantastic effort guys!!
Field is soggy so Saturday is walk in, maybe Sunday too.
Thanks Peter, I'll be there early so I;ll put up the sign.
Passed by the field lunchtime today.
Field is still soggy.
Seems we had another visit from some trial bike riders, Bike tracks left all over Frown
Thnaks Dirk
Was considering knocking off early and heading down for a quick hour of eachine... might give it a miss if still muddy.
Is the field badly ripped up ??

An Eachine should be fine to fly, not that muddy. But if you go wild and it lands at the far end you'll need boots for sure.

I guess the usual, some big tracks in there mainly to the left (entry) side of the field. should have made pictures.
Looking at the BOM this morning, conditions are not looking ideal for the weekend again.
I am busting to get down for a fly and these wet days are getting a bit difficult to deal with.
I'm having withdrawals big time!
Rain is supposed to be overnight, clearing in the morning. After Bushcare it looks okay, wind and rain wise.

Oops rechecking Willy, wind on Saturday, Sunday is looking much better
Field is good, dry enough out to 2/3 strip width.
Thanks peter, much appreciated.

Due to the heat I will open at 8am and probably only stay a couple of hours.
Main strip is half width, soft in places and waterlogged on southern side. OK to drive in.
No surprise here!
+ over 60% rain for the next 7 days... Meh.
Not sure what condition the field is in after yesterdays deluge. I won't be there Saturday but will go down Sunday morning and report accordingly.
Am at the field now. Usual puddles at the far end and at the right end of the main strip. Strip is still 'soft' but otherwise flyable. Tomorow should be a lot better if dries out just a bit further today.

Congratulations very well done, no need for words the film says it all.regards Pete
Was down at the field today with Peter and Barry and was discussing about trying to locate and unblock the top drain head. Looking at this old picture that's on our website, I'm thinking that the top drain might be in a position to the right of where we were originally thinking. It might be thought that the drains are in a straight line, but to me it looks like it's more to the right judging by the lay of the creek.

Barry and Peter, what are your thoughts on my opinion?
Can anyone give an update on the condition of the field after the rain we have had this week??

I would have thaught that it would have held up rather well given all the dry wether we have had leading up to it.
I flew on Wednesday, made the mistake of landing to close to the edge and landed in the mud ripping my Landing gear out haha. But otherwise if you stay away from the known wet spots closest to the reeds it was fine.
I'll try to pass by today on the way home, will update later this evening.
