Why it is not a good idea to cut Lithium batteries with secateurs

I was soldering some wires to bare lipo cells many years ago, went to trim one shorter with a pair of side cutters.

Accidentally snagged both wires and shorted the cell. The side cutter jaws and both pieces of wire were vapourised and I got a very big fright :O

This is how I learnt to build planes from balsa , when I was 8 my father decided to start flying again(control line).
I remember the sheets of balsa, Stanly knife and pins to hold it together while drying.


This kid is mad keen, more than I was watching my dad.


Yes I now own a Ozito cement mixer.

This is the most shocking air crash video I have ever seen. You see 2 incompetent pilots crash an airbus (in perfect condition, in fine weather) killing all but 1 passenger. 
How is this possible in 2020?
