hey just wanted somewhere to post general pictures. new planes , maiden pictures stuff like that..

after the tucano elevator mishap the other day i thought i'd post a picture of paul in the passenger seat of my pc9(in progress) i wonder if he is abit nervous riding in the plane with his lunatic son piloting ..muhuhwahwahwah

needing to pick up a motor for this baby shortly , im in the process of looking around for "the one" ...

this baby dwarves the tucano (and ryan Smile )
Looking forward to seeing this baby fly.
No worries about being in back seat,
can always close my eyes. Biggrin
I see you have your little helper holding
the wing.
Think I'll borrow him next week to help me. Wink

Paul
So you thought your wings were stressed!!!!

My Seb Srt Sukhoi 29S 50E had its maiden on sunday.....
I am overwhelmed by how it behaved in the sky .... (Thanks Darren and Kiren for your help)
You can expect to see a lot more of this magnificent aircraft.
nice work gary , it looked beautiful at the field not only in the air but also just sitting still , great aircraft mate i love it Biggrin
Nice pictures Gary.
It is a great looking plane.
I have some video of it flying which I'll put on the website later tonight.

Paul
Just thought I'd chuck up these pics of the obscene amount of lead going into Darren's Sopwith! That box above the motor is a large lead block and also keep in mind that the cowl has lead lining it all the way around AND when I left his place last he was fashioning a new prop adapter out of iron instead of aluminium!
Thats a lot of weight in the front there.

Beautiful Plane gary, very impressive.

NOW WHATS GOING ON HERE EVERYONES GETTING BIG PLANES :?:

WELL I FIX YOU ALL AND ORDERING THIS BELOW AND GOING TO CHARGE FOR JOY RIDES

P.s I forgot to mention ill be flying down to the field instead of driving as it won't fit in the van
My MY!

Whatever do we have here!?
Ripper Stuff Kieran, that photo is almost as pretty as Gary's Sukhoi.
When will be around to distribute these?
Cheers

Not much point in talking pictues of the battery box.
Get my phone number off Kieran, give me a call and I will bring it over to your place one evening this week if you like. You can check it out then we can form our battle plans.
Ive ordered Turnigy 4000 5S 30C batts... they will fit nicely where Darren had his Polyquest 3250 5S 25C batts( very expensive)

What we have here is a complete lack of respect for the laws of physics.
Ooooouuuuucccchhhh !
[attachment=629]
Me thinks you bollocksed that up good n proper!
Hi Gazza,

Wow a big real OUCH!!!!

See what happens when you don't fly for awhile!!!

Did you save anything?

Is that the Trojan?
Gday Gaz

I think the laws of physics have been respected however they have shown a complete contempt to your good self in this instance.
Looks repairable though, canopy would be the tough job there.
What did you "do"

Cheers

yeah definately repairable! ive seen worse twice Smile
I have done exactly what any self respecting pilot would do.
Ive ordered a new one....
Seriously though after getting the old girl home and carrying out a proper survey of the damage the only things that were reusable were the landing gear( because in this instance I didnt use them)and the servos .... everthing else is damaged beyound repair.
The ESC is bent in half
The motor magnets are scraping on the windings
The tail plane has broken 3 of the 4 hinges
The main wing is broken through the sevo mount and the aileron hinges on the wing are cracked through... so all in all the old girl is GONE, very sad, great plane but thems the laws of physics... stop concentrating for 1 second and whoops!
...
...
See you at the field tomorrow.Biggrin
ahh well, we shall push on with our physics defying experiments (rc planes) regardless! Smile see you then mate
No No No No Its Just Not Fair I miss always The Good Carnage

Steve Smile
