I know what you mean about trusting the tx and rx, I guess you have 2 options, bim em and get new gear or you could test them in something more expendable and see if you get glitching. In regards to the PC9 do what I did with the Cub, use a receiver pack and voltage regulator. That way the speedy can cook itself to high heaven and you will still have control to deadstick if need be. It is also heaps safer as you can check control surfaces and program up your tx without arming the motor.
