Message to Kev and all
Sorry to see your monster dig a hole today, however.. if you are agreeable I would like to offer my services to rebuild the aircraft, you did state that you were going to bin it, please don't. The basic design is extremely sound and it would be a shame to turf it. Please let me know if you are cool with handing over the wreckage, of course hang on to the batteries, motor or anything usable etc etc.
The above goes out to all club members who are thinking of binning aircraft after a good stack, I would be more than happy to take "bits" off you as I have a major interest at the moment in cobbling bits and pieces together and devising some unique designs. As I have aeronautical engineering qualifications the process of experimentation is strong and ingrained and I wish to expand on that. The process of building is the most interesting part of this hobby to me and if I can build skills from stuff that would otherwise end up at the tip I would be happy with that. The overall plan for me is to build experience so I can scratchbuild
I also look forward to handing back to members aircraft that may have other wise been written off.
BTW Kev, was it the speedy that screwed you, and, I nominate you for the "best" stack, it sounded like the real thing which I have witnessed, if you had a fire and fatalities as well it would have been 100% and been in the newspaper tomorrow.
Cheers
Rob Byrnes
