Yes, it's not good at all - steady light rain for hours now.
I haven't been over to the field for a look around, but the ground around my house is well and truly saturated, which means McCoy will be really bad Frown
You're right Steve, it sucks - if it had held off, the field might just have been able to recover for the weekend, but it's got Buckley's of that now.

Bugger!

I haven't flown for months now.... (in fact fact most of this year I've been inactive)

You are not alone, I think this year by far has been the worst weekend weather wise for rc flying at prcac.
On a better note Area 51 will be Ok to fly hard hopefully this weekend if weather clears

Gday Arron

I know what you mean, I literally cannot remember when I last had a fly of my fixed wing stuff.
I have this sexy looking box with all sorts of switches lights and shit on it, it has DX8 loudly emblazed on the front. Anyone know what this contraption does?

Cheers

Aaron, I feel your pain about not flying. Actually I feel my own pain, but that's another story. Smile

That's ok Gazz
Did you see the bike tracks on the strip Frown
??

I'm going to be here for another 1/2 hour as the wind is beginning to fall of even more
and I don't have much to carry down to the strip

The road in looks in great shape but the strip has the usual mud pools
And the grass is pretty hairy, like Gadaffy's camel, needs a shave Smile

Am presuming from field condition reports that Kelso is out of the question for the weekend. Have had one weekend flying my new T28 and am looking forward to another weekend of flying (thanks to Gaz I have 2 new sets of magnets installed that snap the canopy shut tighter than a giant clam and no way is it going to fly off again & rely on parking lot disks to fatefully locate it). Area 51 hopefully is an active venue, gravel or no gravel.

Steve - KevB and I were thinking about a fly tomorrow, but out at Penrith was Kev's suggestion. McCoy might be easier though and I've only got a small belly-lander Mustang which is more suited to McCoy than anywhere else.

The weather forecast is good - no rain and very light breeze.

What time were you thinking of?

I'd be interested in a flight tomorrow, but doesn't look like the weather is (even if the rain holds off, McCoy must be in a poor state after today's downpour Upset )

Steve Murray

The Only Place that may be any good would be area 51 if the rain disappeared Chris, as i for one would love to go for a mid week fly
The worst Thing is the weather forecast for the next three weeks isn't good either Frown

If the weather does improve (??) please let me know as I have the chain and master key. Gazz has the club key.

Hi Chris.
I just got back to sunny Sydney (NOT!) this afternoon. I am on holidays for the rest of the week. At this stage looking at the forecast flying anywhere looks crap.
But if you are going for a fly let me know, I might come along.
Dave I will drop by and pick up the lock for A51 if that is OK.
Gotta sort out my new Trojan and get some serious build time on my L39
