I have not met you in the field for ages. Have you posted the prop adapters to me? I haven't received them. Let me know please.

Regards,
Colin

Gday Colin

I have had a busy time of late and have been largely out of the country hence no flying time available. I have your parts, we tried to post them however A/Post got narky when we tried to post due to the thickness and didn't have any boxes in stock. Let me know what day you will be at the field this weekend and I will drop them off.

Cheers
Rob B

Rob,

No worries. I plan to be there on this Saturday from 11am. I hope to see you there.

Chris, did you pick up my receiver form Kieran?

Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin,
I was going to take it from Kieran, but then he said he intends to be at the field on Saturday so I left it with him.

Cheers
Chris

Yeah, I should be at the field on both days this weekend if the weather if good.
For Saturday I'm looking at being there at least between 10 and 11 if you need to get stuff from me.

At least the weather forecasts look good - no rain, light winds easing further on Sunday Smile
Better get the charger out ...

Steve Murray

I have just checked the weather forcast, Saturday 22km/h westerly in the morning and Sunday 7km/h westerly in the morning. That's made my decision easy - I'll be flying Sunday, although I may drop in on Saturday for a while.
See you all then.

Hi All,

As my wife is still in hospital I will not be flying tomorrow.

I will see what Sunday brings - I may be able to attend.

Don't ever let the fear of landing keep you from taking off!

Yes Chris - it was alright earlier on, but now at a little after 0930 the breeze is well-and-truly up. Our crappy little J-3 wouldn't handle it well at all, so tomorrow it is.

The wind was a challenge for the breave few but quite exciting to fly in Smile. I tried my PT20 with 6S by serialling two 3S 2200 packs. It flew awesome with only a touch of throttle!! I measured the current draw and tach settings before take off and half throttle comfortably produced the same rpm as full throttle under 3S but at half the current. Smile. Unfortunately, full throttle (which is too tempting to use) drew 62A.

As you can imagine, a little earlier that I expected, the motor cut out and I had to bring it in for an emergency deadstick landing - perfectly I might say Smile Smile. I was very stoked with the 6S performance but think that 4S will be quite adequate for this model. I was even more stoked that my emergency landing went very well, rolling in on wheels and there weren't big repairs to be done. The emegrency was later identified to be because of low voltage cutout by the speedy with one of the pack dropping to 11V and the other just a shade higher.

A great fun day but we cut it short as the wind was only growing stronger. The "one more flight" was abandoned before it tuenrd into a repair task Wink.

A great afternoon of flying today with the wind down at last. I also had some 6 cell fun with the Extra MX.
You can never have too much power Drew.

srl

I'll be missing out on the next 2 weekends, unforunately I'll be Samoa, relaxing in a resort, drinking beer, snorkling and just partying at a cousin(in laws) wedding :-p

Hi guys not sure what time someone is opening up On Saturday
Hopefully the wind will settle down Tonight for some fun flying tomorrow.

Hoping to be down early as if the weather stays the same like the past few days, the wind tends to pick mid morning to a strong constant gust.

I've got a new toy to laugh at (less than 100W though) if the wind dies down. I'm hoping to get there around 9:00 if the fields likely to be unlocked by then.

Gday All

Pretty average weather out there right now and rain has been light and persistent all night, gonna be a soggy field for sure. Raining now however looking at the radar and the TAF it should be a bit better in a couple of hours. Tomorrow looking healthy for some dad related aviation though.
