Hi,
I haven't logged on to the forum for a while until today. Wow! Kieran, you found it!!! That is amazing.
Now, I just need to figure out a way to retrieve it. Even if I succeed, they electronics might have been damaged already by the rain and heat. I still hope for the best result.
Thanks in deed.

Colin, Stephen has already got it for you, check your email so you can contact him

Ditto Rob's comments on the weather - doesn't look good for this weekend. A front is due at about 0400 Saturday with strong to gale-force winds to follow on both days

Colin I have Given the Plane to
Ingo on Sunday as i had to leave early and we thought you might come down later.
You will need to Contact Ingo,
P.s Plane is in good condition except for battery and it will not charge. i had plenty of motor mounts so i replaced your broken one for you and re-glued some foam fractures on plane, so its ready to go, just needs a battery.

good work steve on the retrieval and generous repairs!
as for darren, that is good spirit im afraid that smile probably could not be found on my face although i would agree with the copious amounts of alchohol method of grieving!

Gday Colin
We were wondering when you would find out your plane had been retrieved.
It was a very cool effort all round, Kieran and his aerial recon and Steve's super ladder make a formidable team.
Shame it was on the roof though when a major storm went through, that is probably why the battery is dud now.
Look forward to seeing you back at the field and back in the air with us.
Cheers

20% CHANCE OF WIND GUSTS REMAINING
BELOW 25 KNOTS SATURDAY MORNING.

Meh, they're always a little on the pessimistic side
If its not blowing a gale, I'll probably be down around 8:00 8:30 getting the most of the still air until it DOES start blowing a gale

I'll be there around 9am with the rebuilt Cessna.
I'll have a look at the wind conditions and make a "fly no fly" decision then.
Don't want to have to rebuild the Cessna so soon again.

Nooooo!!! I'm never going to fly my Glider! Actually, I still need to glue some weight in the nose to get the balance forward. With swept wings I'm still not sure where the balance point should be but I'll guestimate. Anyway I'll be down in the morning for the AGM and show off my newly finished plane (just don't look too closely at the overspray - it was too hard to fix).

I'll show you how to find the MAC (Mean Aerodynamic Chord) which can then lead you to the correct CofG point.

The weather seems to be getting better. Would't mind doing some mid week practise. Is anyone interested in early morning flying this week? I was thinking of a 7.30 start on thursday, or anytime on Friday?
