3D printing -

I just got my self a kit for one of these gizmos, It's taken a while but I finished it the other day and it seems to work nicely
I've been a CAD user at work for quite some time so I thought it might be fun to have a machine that can make some bits and pieces
Here's a look at a CAD model for a Rocket airframe I drew up a while back.
Smuzz Kindly gave me a few rocket engines last year and I thought I'd better build an airframe to try some of them out.
Here's the first attempt Hopefully it will fly OK

Careful, that's a slippery slope
Joking aside, I am fascinated. Is that a SeeMeCNC Orion Delta 3D?

Hey Andre, It's a Rostock MAX V2 from see me CNC
here's a link
http://seemecnc.com/products/rostock-max-complete-kit
It's a bit bigger than the Orion delta with a build area of 8" X 14.75"
It seems to be a decent bit of kit, it works well out of the box and it's pretty upgradeable
I'd like to print some helical herring bone gears for a reduction drive on a 120 size IC engine, that will test the technology
As for the missile Man Crikey !!
That's Bruce from RC model reviews !!
I'm starting to think he might be a bit of a media whore
I have learnt a fair bit from watching his RC model reviews tho', an interesting and prolific producer.
I do like some of his insights, He's an annoyingly fascinating and slightly more than just a little eccentric kind of character
But seriously it's pretty obvious that it can be done and certainly possible on a $5K USD parts budget.
I'm not saying that anyone could do it but there are certainly plenty who could.
WHAT I FIND HARD TO FATHOM IS THAT THE MEDIA AND VARIOUS GOVERNEMENTS ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO BE SUPRISED BY THIS!!!
I'm betting it's more a matter of when and where rather than if the inevitable happens.
Any way this printed airframe is definitely not a cruse missile, it's a model rocket.

Hi Jason. Have you ever thought of printing out 3-D quad copter?, Will use a couple of video link showing some of the quad copters that have been printed out on 3-D printer.
Kind regards, Bob.

HobbyKing. I have a 0.5kg roll of black 1.75mm ABS filament here, still sealed in its vacuum bag, which I can bring to the field if that is compatible with your rig and of any assistance.
